West Cambridge

The West Cambridge Project is an important part of the future development of the University as a whole. The objective is to provide an academic and research environment for the University's physical science based faculties. This will enable certain departments, currently located in the city centre, to re-locate to West Cambridge and allow the vacated space to be occupied by departments which need to remain located in the city centre. The floor space being proposed is made up of academic departments, research institutes and commercial research. The University will be providing social and amenity facilities, together with improved infrastructure to include car and cycle parking, park and cycle facilities, new internal roads, ecological and landscaping improvements.
