We are a professional couple in late 50's. Teachers, musicians, neat and tidy, lovers of bike riding and also keen on being part of a local community. Our inner-west suburb of Sydney is very pleasant with a good sense of community, a wonderful mild climate even in the winter and is very close to all the attractions of the city of Sydney.
We have completed 2 long term house swaps in 2011-2012: 3 months in Herts and 5 months in Suffolk. We are wanting to swap in 2014 and are reasonably flexible with dates.

We have a three bedroomed Victorian terraced house situated centrally in Cambridge close to Murray-Edwards and Fitzwilliam Colleges and within easy walking or cycling distance of most Faculties, Colleges, Libraries, the Backs and the city centre. We would be interested in arranging exchanges of up to six weeks in duration with persons wishing to visit Cambridge to undertake short periods of research or who desire simply to visit the city. Any destination might be of interest to us but we would be particularly attracted to European city destinations, British rural locations or to the Island of Malta.
We are an academic couple near retirement age. On occasion we might wish to be accompanied on an exchange by our postgraduate student son. We are non-smokers and have no pets.

I am on the faculty of Ridley College Melbourne, and am planning to go on a four month sabbatical from July 2013 to the end of October 2013 (these dates are flexible) to Tyndale House, Cambridge. We have a modern three bedroom house in Fitzroy North, approximately 4 kilometres from the city with easy access by car, bike or train or tram to RMIT and Melbourne Universities and to some major hospitals. The house would suit a couple or small family. You have use of our bikes and a car and log up garage. The house has two open plan living areas and two bathrooms, and all modern appliaces. We seek accommodation with easy access to Tyndale at the uni for two adults in their early 50s. Bikes would be a bonus.

House swap (Siena, Italy – Cambridge, UK) August 2012-July 2013.
We will be coming to Cambridge around the middle of August 2012 until the end of July 2013. We are a family of 4 (two daughters who will be aged 10 and 13) and looking for a 3 bedroom fully furnished house in a central location. In return we are offering our Italian villa in the Tuscan countryside (about 15 minutes drive from Siena) which consists of 3 large bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, study, large living room with library and piano, 2 large bathrooms (1 with Juacuzzi) and extensive gardens and woodlands. The house has wireless internet connection and will come fully furnished. Located in the spa village of Rapolano Terme, it is about a 40 minute drive to Perugia airport where Ryanair offer flights to Stansted. Florence (1 hour) and Rome (2 hours) are within travelling distance. We are open to shorter swap periods, but would prefer a full year swap.

I require a minimum of one bedroom preferably within cycling distance of Cambridge for myself and a friend. I would be prepared to look after pets, including horses.
I am an associate professor with the University of Maryland, I also work term times in the department of biochemistry and will be sharing the accommodation with a musician. Although we need to be in Cambridge during term time, we are flexible outside of term time, so short swaps would also work.
We have a three bed-roomed stone built villa in Crete, situated in half an acre of land. It is situated in a village 15km South West of Chania, in a small village in the foothills of the White Mountains. It offers the quiet life with stunning views of the mountains, hundreds of kilometers of un-spoilt walks and Agia lake, which is a major stopping point for migratory birds. It is a perfect place for writing, holidaying, anyone with an interest in archeology, geology, nature or just relaxing; or using the fast broadband connection, to work from home!!
The village has a tavern and the local town is just 4 km away with supermarkets etc. The Ventian port of Chania is only a twenty minute drive away with all the facilities of a city. Chania airport is a 40 minute drive away (Ryanair fly direct from Stanstead in the summer months); use of a car may also be possible.

Speziale is on the Adriatic trainline, so it is connected with Bari, Brindisi and Lecce, as well as all the cities facing the Adriatic. Sea view from the window, sea 5 minutes away. Bari and Brindisi are both connected to Stansted airport with Ryanair.
Since it’s our first time doing house swapping I’ll be open to suggestion and flexibility so to accommodate together the request.
